چکیده
Currently, the demand for high quality and reliable components materials is increasing, so bending testing has become a vital test method, both in research manufacturing development process, to explain detail about materialâs ability withstand deformation under load. This investigated flexural properties of polymeric composites reinforced with natural fiber, particular fique fabric, addition graphene nanoplates (GNP) (0.1%; 0.5% 0.9%) degradation at temperature (0, 5 10 days), as it was never reported. Using design experiments (DoE), ie, 3-full factorial two replications, aiming analyze effects important parameters, which are exposure time GNP percentage. The output response measurement identified deflection fracture, modulus rupture elasticity values. Randomized were conducted based on table generated via Minitab 19 software. Scanning electron microscopy analysis confirmed main influences responses.

Thermal Property of Multi-Walled-Carbon-Nanotube Reinforced Epoxy Composites
In this study, epoxy composite specimens reinforced with multi-walled carbon nanotube filler were fabricated using shear mixer and ultra-sonication processor. The mechanical and thermal properties of the fabricated specimens were measured and evaluated. From the electron microscope images and the results from the measurements of tensile strengths, the specimens having 0.6 wt% nanotube content s...
متن کاملThermal Degradation of HDPE Short Fibers Reinforced Epoxy Composites
Thermogravimetric analysis was carried out to investigate the thermal degradation of High Density Poly Ethylene (HDPE) short fibers reinforced epoxy composites. Three composites with 5, 10 and 15 % by weight of HDPE short fiber composition were prepared using epoxy as matrix material. The HDPE short fiber used as reinforcing material into the resin helps in retarding the thermal degradation of ...
متن کاملAtomistic simulations on multilayer graphene reinforced epoxy composites
We use molecular dynamics simulations to characterize multilayer graphene reinforced epoxy composites. We focus on two configurations, one where the graphene layers are parallel to polymer/graphene interface and a perpendicular case, and characterize the in situ curing process of the resin and the thermo-mechanical response of the composites. The yield stress of the composites under uniaxial lo...
متن کاملFabrication of in-situ grown graphene reinforced Cu matrix composites
Graphene/Cu composites were fabricated through a graphene in-situ grown approach, which involved ball-milling of Cu powders with PMMA as solid carbon source, in-situ growth of graphene on flaky Cu powders and vacuum hot-press sintering. SEM and TEM characterization results indicated that graphene in-situ grown on Cu powders guaranteed a homogeneous dispersion and a good combination between grap...
متن کاملEnhancement of mechanical and electrical properties of continuous-fiber-reinforced epoxy composites with stacked graphene
Impregnation of expandable graphite (EG) after thermal treatment with an epoxy resin containing surface-active agents (SAAs) enhanced the intercalation of epoxy monomer between EG layers and led to further exfoliation of the graphite, resulting in stacks of few graphene layers, so-called "stacked" graphene (SG). This process enabled electrical conductivity of cured epoxy/SG composites at lower ...
